Head of Growth

Last updated:

Our GTM function is already scaling, but it's still early. We're looking for an experienced growth leader to own the demand engine: the PLG flywheel, the activation motion, and the product-qualified pipeline that feeds a sales team ready to close.

This is a leadership position where you'll build and lead a team of DevRel engineers, content marketers, and growth engineers across multiple geographies. You'll work closely with sales on the handoff from product-led signups to enterprise deals.

The audience already exists everywhere serious AI development is happening. Your job is to turn that reach into a compounding, international commercial motion.

  • Build the conversion funnel into Logfire signups, from the Pydantic and Pydantic AI community and well beyond it
  • Own content, DevRel, community, and demand generation to build awareness and turn developer mindshare into a steady flow of signups and conversions
  • Build the lead scoring framework across the funnel: marketing-qualified leads from content and campaigns, product-qualified leads from usage signals, and the sales-qualified handoff so sales knows exactly when to reach out, all wired into the CRM
  • Build competitive displacement campaigns that win teams away from incumbent tools: ROI calculators, migration guides, and high-intent paid search
  • Hire and lead a global team of DevRel engineers, content marketers, growth engineers, and demand generation specialists
  • Set OKRs, analyze data, and optimize the funnel
  • Experience owning a product-led growth motion end to end, from self-serve adoption through to enterprise pipeline, at a developer tools, observability, or AI infrastructure company
  • Obsessed with analytics, and technical enough to drive the work yourself: writing SQL, reading a product funnel, and briefing a growth engineer when you need to ship something bigger
  • Experience hiring and leading DevRel and content teams across multiple markets
  • A genuine understanding of developer communities and what it takes to earn their trust
  • Experience building product-usage-to-pipeline systems and the data infrastructure behind them
  • Bonus: Experience at companies known for developer-led growth (e.g. Vercel, Grafana Labs, HashiCorp, Stripe, Sentry, Linear) or at AI-native companies close to this category

Pydantic Validation is the data validation library that powers modern Python development - 500 million downloads per month, used by virtually every tech company you've heard of. Why? Because we obsess over developer experience and write code we'd actually want to use ourselves.

We're applying that same engineering mindset to Pydantic Logfire, our observability platform with first class support for AI engineering, built for today's development reality: AI workloads, multi-language environments, and cloud infrastructure that's designed to be straightforward to set up and maintain.

We build with technologies developers actually want to work with:

  • OpenTelemetry for standardized instrumentation
  • SQL for intuitive querying (no proprietary query language to learn)
  • Rust, Python, and TypeScript for performance and productivity
  • Postgres, DataFusion, and object storage for scalable backends

Unlike other companies that pay lip service to open source, we commit over 20% of our engineering team to maintaining and expanding our open source ecosystem. This includes the core Pydantic Validation library and Pydantic AI - our rapidly growing framework that's becoming the standard for AI application development. We're signatories of the open source pledge and build on open standards because we believe in interoperability, not lock-in. Use our OpenTelemetry-based SDK with any compatible backend - we're confident you'll choose us on merit.

We're backed by Sequoia Capital and run a fully remote team across multiple time zones (with regular in-person offsites - next one is June 2026 in London).

Join our team of exceptional engineers who value substance over hype, practical approaches over perfectionism, and meaningful progress over busyness. We've built a culture that balances technical ambition with sustainable practices—minimal meetings and respect for your expertise and time. We're creating tools that genuinely improve developers' lives, and we're looking for thoughtful contributors who share our commitment to quality and our passion for elegant solutions.

  • Developers come first: We built the most downloaded Python library in the world by earning developer trust, not by chasing growth. That's how we expect growth to work here too.
  • Fully remote: Our team is distributed across the US and Europe. We work asynchronously and come together in-person three times a year around the world.
  • Autonomy with a bias to action: Small teams with real ownership and the freedom to make decisions. We hire people we trust and then trust the people we hire.
  • The most interesting growth problem in developer tools: a product developers already love, at scale, and the challenge of building the business to match
  • Join at a defining moment: the window to own the AI observability category is open right now
  • The chance to leave a legacy: this is one of the most significant moments in the history of software, and you'll build the growth engine that carries AI observability to developers who'll rely on it for years to come
  • A world-class team, backed by Sequoia Capital
  • Location: Fully remote. US Pacific to Central EU time, with preference for overlap with US working hours.
  • Type: Full-time
  • 💰 Compensation: Competitive salary and stock options
  • 🌍 Truly Remote: Work from anywhere within our timezone range - no office requirements
  • 🌐 Global & Diverse: Join a multi-cultural team of 8+ nationalities
  • 💪 Impact: Direct influence on tools used by millions of developers worldwide
  • 🎯 Focus on Growth: Regular opportunities for learning and professional development
  • 🤝 Team Gatherings: Connect with the team at our regular international off-sites
  • 🏥 Healthcare: Comprehensive health coverage for you and your dependents
  • 🎮 Flexible Hours: Work when you're most productive
  • 💻 Equipment: Budget for your home office setup
  • ⚖️ Work-Life Balance: flexible working hours and 33 days PTO no matter where you live (including public holidays, which you can choose to take or not)
