The Opportunity
We're hiring an engineer for the growth team.
Pydantic Validation is downloaded 1 billion times a month. Pydantic AI is becoming the standard for AI application development. The reach already exists; what's missing is the systems that turn it into Pydantic Logfire signups and pipeline. That's what you'll build: experiments, instrumentation, internal tooling, and the plumbing between product data, marketing attribution, and our CRM. You'll get usage data where it can drive action, surface leads worth chasing to sales, and build tooling and agents that let the whole GTM team act on it.
You'll report to our Head of Growth and work day-to-day with our DevRel & Growth Marketer, Product Marketer, and the engineering team. Small team, real ownership, and everything you ship gets used immediately.
What You'll Do
- Own the data plumbing between product and GTM: get usage signals into the warehouse and CRM, modeled and clean enough to act on.
- Build and ship activation experiments end to end, working with our Growth Data Analyst who designs them from the data: landing pages, onboarding flows, A/B tests, and the tracking to know whether they worked
- Own funnel instrumentation and attribution (event tracking, UTM infrastructure, and improvements to our in-house analytics) so every campaign and page is measurable
- Turn product-usage signals into pipeline: build lead scoring that identifies product-qualified leads from real usage data and push them into the CRM so sales knows exactly when to reach out
- Build internal tooling and automations, including AI agents, for the repetitive work: enrichment, reporting, content ops
- Own technical SEO and AI-answer visibility (GEO) across our website and docs site: crawlability, structured data, indexing, and how our docs and content surface in LLM answers
- Triage and fix frontend and analytics issues that block growth work, and open PRs against the main site
Who You Are
- An engineer comfortable in Python and TypeScript who wants their work measured in signups and pipeline.
- Fluent in SQL. This is a hard requirement: you'll live in our analytics warehouse
- Instinctively reach for AI tooling: you'd rather build an agent or script a workflow than do anything tedious twice
- You understand funnels, activation, and conversion well enough to build an experiment, test the hypothesis, and report back
- Bias to shipping: you'd rather run three imperfect experiments than perfect one
- Bonus: growth or GTM engineering experience at a developer tools, observability, or PLG company
About Us
Pydantic Validation is the data validation library that powers modern Python development: 1 billion downloads per month, used by virtually every tech company you've heard of. We're applying the same engineering mindset to Pydantic Logfire, our observability platform with first-class support for AI engineering, and Pydantic AI, our rapidly growing agent framework.
We commit over 20% of our engineering team to our open source ecosystem, build on open standards (OpenTelemetry, SQL, Postgres), and are backed by Sequoia Capital. We run a fully remote team across the US, Canada, and Europe with regular in-person offsites.
How We Work
- Developers come first: we built the most downloaded Python library in the world by earning developer trust, not by chasing growth. That's how we expect growth to work here too.
- Fully remote: distributed across the US, Canada, and Europe, async by default, together in person three times a year.
- Autonomy with a bias to action: small teams with real ownership. We hire people we trust and then trust the people we hire.
